Terms of Use

1. What This Site Is

Find Structural Movers is a directory of companies that move whole houses, buildings, and other large structures, and that lift, elevate, or level them. We publish each company's public contact details so you can reach the company yourself.

We are not a moving company, a contractor, or a broker. We do not arrange or supervise work and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a mover.

2. Agreement and Changes

By using this site you agree to these terms. We may update them; the date above shows when they last changed, and continued use means you accept the current version.

3. Quote Requests

Submitting the quote form asks us to pass your project details to a moving company so they can contact you. It is free and creates no obligation for you and no contract with anyone.

We do not price work, do not guarantee that a mover will respond, and do not guarantee a response time. Any quote, agreement, or payment is strictly between you and the mover.

4. Sponsorship

One moving company at a time may pay us to be the official sponsor. That company appears above the listings on the homepage and every state page, always labeled “Official sponsor,” and receives the quote requests submitted through this site. No sponsor currently holds the position.

Sponsorship is not an endorsement and says nothing about quality. Ordinary listings are free, are ordered alphabetically, and are never affected by whether a company pays us. We take no commission on any job.

5. No Endorsement, No Advice, No Warranty

Listing information comes from public sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and nothing here is engineering, legal, insurance, or financial advice. You are responsible for checking a company's licensing, insurance, and credentials before hiring them.

The site and its listings are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Listings link to companies' own websites, which we do not control and are not responsible for.

6. Acceptable Use and Content

You must not scrape or bulk-copy listing data for a commercial purpose, submit false or automated quote requests, send advertising through the form or to our email address, or interfere with the site or its security. We may block access or remove content if you do.

The wording, design, and code of this site are ours. Company names and trademarks belong to the companies they identify, and appear here without any affiliation. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, email contact@findstructuralmovers.com with the page address and details and we will review it.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of this site or your dealings with any company listed on it, including any loss connected with work a mover does or fails to do. Our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars.

You agree to indemnify Find Structural Movers against claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site or a dispute between you and a mover.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of clauses 5 and 7 may not apply to you.

8. Disputes

Email contact@findstructuralmovers.com first — most things are settled that way, and we ask for 30 days to try. After that, disputes arising from these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its consumer rules, and you and we each waive a jury trial and any class action. Either side may instead bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. We may transfer these terms if the site changes hands.

Privacy Policy

1. Who Is Responsible

Find Structural Movers operates findstructuralmovers.com and is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy request, email contact@findstructuralmovers.com. If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.

2. What We Collect

You can browse the whole directory without giving us anything. There is no account and no login. If you submit the quote form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, what you write about the project, and the state and company name of the page you started from, which the form carries so you do not retype it. The form also carries a hidden timestamp and an empty decoy field, used only to recognise automated submissions.

Our host keeps standard server logs, which record an IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, and the browser's user-agent string. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

3. How We Use It

We use a quote request to pass your details to a moving company so they can contact you about the work, and to follow up with you about that request. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

4. Who We Share It With

We pass your quote request to the moving company we route it to. From that point that company is responsible for its own use of your details, under its own privacy policy.

Three US-based service providers process data on our instructions to run the site: Netlify for hosting and server logs, Supabase for the database of company listings, and Google for the Gmail and Apps Script that deliver quote requests to our inbox and store them there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We do not sell or share your personal information, including for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined by California law. We do not pass it to data brokers or advertisers and we do not add you to a marketing list.

5. Cookies and Tracking

This site sets no cookies, so there is nothing to consent to. There is no analytics script, advertising pixel, session recording, or cross-site tracking, and nothing loads from a third-party domain while you read a page. Because we do not track or sell anything, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to switch off here.

6. Security and Retention

The site is served over HTTPS and we never handle payment details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and any regulator we are required to tell.

Quote requests are not stored in a database. Yours exists as an email in our mailbox and in the mailbox of the mover we passed it to. We delete quote request emails once they are no longer needed and in any case within 24 months.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. Email contact@findstructuralmovers.com and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for asking. If we refuse, you can ask us to reconsider by replying, and you can complain to your state attorney general.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Virginia have these rights by statute; clauses 2 and 4 above state the categories we collect and who receives them. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also object to our use of your information; it is handled in the United States. If your details were already passed to a mover, ask that company directly as well, since we cannot delete records held by someone else.

8. Children

This site is for adults arranging construction and moving work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, or from children under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has sent us information, email contact@findstructuralmovers.com and we will delete it.

9. Company Listings

Listings describe businesses and come from public sources. Where one includes a person's name or a number that reaches an individual, common for a sole trader, that is personal information too. If you are listed and want the listing corrected or removed, email contact@findstructuralmovers.com or see Contact. You do not have to give a reason.
